Visual Strategies Workshop

Enhance your classroom practice with insights into Autism profiles and effective strategies to empower student success. During the first half of the workshop, we will discuss characteristics of Autism, applied behaviour analysis (ABA), teaching strategies, and accommodations through engaging discussions and hands-on interactive activities. In the second half, embark on a creative journey with our make-and-take session, where participants will create visual supports. From “first-then” boards to token economy systems and task analysis, these resources are designed to seamlessly integrate into any classroom setting. Participants will leave with ready-to-use visual supports, primed to enhance student engagement and foster a supportive learning environment.
Participants may choose to attend either the morning OR afternoon half-day session.
Morning Session:
9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Afternoon Session:
1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Light lunch provided for both sessions.
