Notification of Assignment

L22.20

a) All assignments will be determined by the Principal.

(b) A Principal shall provide in writing, by April 15, notification and confirmation of assignment (i.e. subject area and grades) for the following school year to each Teacher.

Eg #1 Grade 8 full time and providing Arts prep coverage in the Primary division.

Eg #2 Full time prep teacher providing French to the Junior division and Instrumental Music to the Intermediate division

(c) If the assignment involves providing preparation time for other Teachers, written clarification of the teaching assignment will be provided wherever possible no later than the last working day in June.

Eg #1 (a) Grade 8 full time and providing Art prep coverage including Dance and Drama to the Name’s Grade 2 class

Eg #1 (b) Grade 8 full time and providing Visual Arts prep coverage to both grade 3 classes.

Eg #2 Full time prep teacher providing French to the Grades 4-6 classes and Instrumental Music to the Grade 8 classes
