Teacher Librarians

L22.06 The number of FTE Teacher Librarians in the system shall be calculated on the basis of one point six (1.6) Teacher Librarians per one thousand (1 000) FTE students as determined in Article L23.01.

This is a superior clause in the Thames Valley Collective Agreement. 1.6 teacher-librarians per 1000 students is a system average and therefore may have some variance from school to school.

L22.07 The assignment of Teacher Librarians shall be by the District Staffing Committee (Elementary).

The EDSC reviews the distribution of teacher-librarians as part of the spring staffing process.  The committee reviews the calculation and equitable distribution of teacher-librarians.
